Seniors Matches

The SENIORS enjoy friendly competitive interclub matches against a number of other local clubs. MATCH format is 4 ball better ball with each match having 6 pairs of players.

PLAYERS in HOME matches act as HOSTS for the visiting team and are expected to stay for a meal (Jacket & Tie) – each player pays for their own meal. (Any special dietary requirements must be notified to the TEAM CAPTAIN BEFORE the match.

BID sheets are placed on the SENIORS notice board approx. 6 weeks before any match and SENIORS are invited to put their names on the sheet.

TEAM sheets showing those chosen are put on the SENIORS notice board approx. 2 weeks before the match showing the team and any reserves. The TEAM assembly time and location are shown on the TEAM sheet.

Players MUST confirm their availability by ticking the TEAM sheet.

Each match has a TEAM CAPTAIN who MUST be notified if a player is unable to play.

TEAM selection is the responsibility of the SENIORS MATCH CAPTAIN. Selection is guided by achieving equal numbers of HOME & AWAY fixtures, NOT by handicap or playing ability other than in the Interclub Knockout.
